Functionality

  • If "Bug: XXX" is used in a Gerrit commit message, Gerrit Notification Bot will:
    • Add a comment to bug XXX cross-referencing the Gerrit commit
    • Set the status of bug XXX to PATCH_TO_REVIEW (though it sets the status in a separate action: bugzilla:52167)
    • If a user uses the Gerrit user interface to edit the commit message and add "Bug: XXX", the bot will not notice: bugzilla:52132
  • If a Gerrit commit is merged or abandoned that contains "Bug: XXX" in its commit message, Gerrit Notification Bot will:
    • Add a comment to bug XXX cross-referencing the Gerrit commit

Maintainer

If there's a problem, file a bug in Bugzilla and bother Chad or Christian.

If you e-mail gerritadmin@wikimedia.org, it will just redirect to Chad and Antoine.
